Hello, my name is Royce Branch. Welcome to my website. I am a thirty-four year veteran on Redondo Beach Police Department. I am assigned to Background Investigations, Personnel, and Training. I am the owner and driver of the car. I built the car years ago to assist me in recruiting new Police Officers for our department.
I have been associated with cars since I was a teenager. I have been in racing since I first got my license. I started out drag racing at Lions Drag Strip and Pomona Drag Strip. I later raced Cobra’s for Hollenbeck and Associates. This enabled me to enjoy both worlds, Drag Racing and Circuit Racing, Willow Springs, Button Willow, Riverside, Road Atlanta, and many other race tracks.
I currently own a Jet Ski boat with a 460 cubic inch Ford engine, 1922 T bucket with a 350 cubic inch Chevy, 1932 Ford Victoria with an 80 cubic inch street ported 13B rotary engine, as well as a Harley Davidson motorcycle. These are the ones that I have customized. So as you can see it was a natural transition back into racing.
6X11 In Pursuit Racing will change this year to RBPD In Pursuit Racing. This way I can use the website as a means of letting the public know what we are doing. We will be posting our progress throughout the year. This year I will be taking the car to car shows, expos, and races.
I was the Assistant Publisher for Rotary Rocket Magazine and RX-7 Report. I have written articles for following magazines: Drive, Hot Rod, Car and Driver, Turbo, Fuel and Mazdasport magazine.
